Overview
When a document is opened in LEAP, the system automatically creates temporary versions of the file. These temporary copies can be useful for data recovery if a document closes unexpectedly or if changes need to be reviewed.
This guide explains how to locate these temporary document versions within the Windows file system.
Steps
For Windows
- Open File Explorer (Windows Explorer).
- Click the address bar at the top of the window.
- Type %AppData% and press Enter.
- Navigate to the following folders in order:
Local → LEAP Desktop → CDE → your folder (e.g. 3f5dfft-453d-fgt5-03e08608c1ff) → OfficeDocuments - Inside the OfficeDocuments folder, locate the required temporary file.
- Temporary versions will display an underscore and version number at the end of the filename (e.g. DocumentName_6). The number represents the version created by LEAP.
